Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket and attending the Makers Festival (“the Festival”), you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions:

1. TICKETS AND ENTRY

1.1 Tickets Are Non-Refundable

All tickets are strictly non-refundable regardless of illness, injury, change of plans, dissatisfaction, weather, or failure to attend.
Tickets may be transferred to another person. The Festival will not reissue or modify tickets for transfers.

1.2 Force Majeure and Weather

The Festival will continue in all weather conditions including rain, wind, heat, or cold.
No refunds or credits will be issued if you choose not to attend due to weather.

If the Festival is cancelled, delayed, or disrupted due to circumstances beyond our control including severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, fire risk, government action, road closures, or any force majeure event, no refunds will be issued. Any further arrangements are at the sole discretion of the Festival.

1.3 Ticket Scalping and Fraud

Tickets purchased through unauthorised resellers are not valid.
The Festival is not responsible for fraudulent tickets, scams, or purchases made outside of official channels.

1.4 Right to Deny Entry or Remove Attendees

The Festival may refuse entry or remove anyone who is disruptive, intoxicated, unsafe, abusive, dishonest, or in violation of these Terms.
No refund will be issued if removal occurs.

1.5 Wristbands and Identification

All attendees must wear their wristbands at all times.
Lost wristbands cannot be replaced.
A new ticket must be purchased for re-entry.

 

2. WORKSHOPS AND BOOKINGS

2.1 General Access

Workshop access depends on availability, timing, capacity, and your personal schedule.

We cannot guarantee that you will attend your preferred workshop unless you have booked a priority spot within your ticket.

2.2 Priority Spots

Priority workshop spots booked with your ticket are guaranteed only for the specific workshop selected at purchase.

Priority workshops cannot be changed after booking.

2.3 Wildcard Spots

Wildcard spots are not guaranteed.
Wildcard access depends on:

• availability throughout the day
• the timing of your selected workshops
• what other Festival activities you choose to attend
• overlapping schedules
• workshop capacity
• your arrival time

We guarantee we will not oversell workshop capacity and that there will be enough workshop spots available overall, but we cannot guarantee which workshops you will be able to attend.

Wildcard spots are first come first served.
An onsite digital booking system will allocate wildcard spaces fairly.

2.4 Maker and Schedule Changes

We cannot guarantee that a specific maker will run a workshop.
If a maker becomes unavailable, we may replace them with another qualified facilitator and run the same or similar workshop.

We reserve the right to change workshop times, locations, or capacity at any time for operational or safety reasons.
If your priority workshop time changes, we will reallocate you to a suitable alternative.

We cannot be held liable should a workshop be cancelled for safety reasons.

2.5 Attendance Rules

Only attendees allocated to a workshop may take part.
Anyone attending workshops without a valid booking or correct ticket will be removed without refund.

Children under 12 may not participate in standard workshops.
Attendees under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

 

3. SECURITY, SEARCHES AND PROHIBITED ITEMS

3.1 Searches

All persons, bags, vehicles, and belongings may be searched upon entry or at any time inside the Festival grounds.

3.2 Prohibited Items

Prohibited items include:

• weapons or dangerous items
• illegal substances
• fireworks
• alcohol brought from outside
• hazardous chemicals
• drones
• gas bottles
• large umbrellas
• any item deemed unsafe

The Festival may confiscate prohibited items and refuse entry.

 

4. HEALTH, SAFETY AND LIABILITY

4.1 Enter at Your Own Risk

Attendance at an outdoor festival involves inherent risks including uneven ground, tools, weather exposure, insects, dust, noise, temporary structures, and large crowds.
By entering, you accept full responsibility for your safety.

4.2 Zero-Tolerance Drug Policy

Drug use, including marijuana, is strictly prohibited anywhere on the Festival grounds or in the campsite.
Anyone found in possession or under the influence will be removed immediately without refund and may be reported to authorities.

4.3 Alcohol Policy and Age Verification

Alcohol may only be sold or consumed by attendees aged 18 and older.
Valid photo ID is required.

Alcohol consumption is not permitted inside workshops or makers’ tents. Once you have consumed alcohol, you will no longer be allowed access into any workshops for the remainder of the day.

4.4 Smoking and Vaping

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated smoking areas.
Smoking or vaping in general areas, workshops, near makers’ tents, or inside structures is strictly prohibited.
Anyone smoking outside designated areas may be removed without refund.

4.5 Workshop Safety

Workshops may involve sharp tools, power tools, hot equipment, chemicals, dust, and other hazards.
PPE may be provided, but participation is entirely at your own risk.

4.6 Medical Assistance

A medic will be onsite at all times.
You consent to basic first aid if required.
The Festival is not responsible for emergency transport, follow-up treatment, or medical expenses.

4.7 Personal Property

The Festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items including in the campsite, parking areas, market zones, or workshop areas.

 

5. CAMPING

5.1 Camping Access

Only attendees with a valid camping pass may stay overnight.
Day and general admission ticket holders may not camp or remain on the grounds after closing hours.

5.2 Camping Facilities

No camping gear is provided.
Attendees must bring their own tents, sleeping bags, and essentials.

There is no electricity or Wi-Fi in the campsite.
Toilets are available. Shower facilities may be limited.

5.3 Campsite Conduct

No music or amplified sound is permitted in the campsite.
No alcohol may be consumed in the campsite.
No drugs of any kind are permitted.

Quiet hours begin at 11 PM.
Disruptive attendees may be removed without refund.

 

6. MARKET, FOOD AND BAR

6.1 Independent Vendors – No Liability

All vendors operate independently.
Purchases from the Makers Market are not included in the ticket price.

The Festival is not responsible for product quality, food safety, pricing disputes, or any transactions between vendors and attendees.

6.2 Cash-Free Event

The Festival is a fully cashless event.
All purchases must be made via card or digital payment.

 

7. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

7.1 Leave No Trace

Attendees must dispose of waste in designated bins.
Single-use plastics are strongly discouraged.

Respect the environment and Festival grounds.
Leave the area as you found it.

 

8. MEDIA AND PHOTOGRAPHY

By entering the Festival, you grant permission for your image, voice, products, and likeness to be photographed, filmed, or recorded and used for marketing or promotional purposes for this or future events without compensation.

 

9. CODE OF CONDUCT

All attendees must behave respectfully toward staff, volunteers, makers, artists, partners, vendors, and other guests.

Aggressive, abusive, disruptive, dishonest, or unsafe behaviour will result in immediate removal without refund.

 

10. FINAL INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

By attending the Festival, you agree to:

• enter entirely at your own risk
• take full responsibility for your safety and belongings
• indemnify and hold harmless the Festival, its directors, staff, contractors, volunteers, facilitators, and partners
• waive the right to bring legal action for any injuries, losses, damages, or incidents occurring at the Festival

 

11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By purchasing a ticket, entering the Festival grounds, or participating in any activity, you automatically accept all Terms and Conditions listed above.
