Deon Breytenbach
I have always had a great love and appreciation for trees and especially indigenous fauna and flora, and I thank my parents for that."
Deon is a woodturner based in the Hoedspruit bushveld, living close to nature and transforming salvaged indigenous wood into stunning works of art and practical pieces. Experience Deon’s craftsmanship firsthand by joining one of his woodturning workshops or attending an interactive demonstration, where he showcases his remarkable skills and passion for the craft.

Caeley Goosen
Caeley is a ceramic artist, teacher, and founder of New to Blue. She creates functional, soulful pottery by hand and shares her love for clay through workshops, weekly classes and studio sessions in Cape Town. Whether she's shaping a new form on the wheel or guiding someone through their first pinch pot, her goal is to make creativity accessible, grounding, and joyful.

Sada Sabbagha
Sada, the founder of Makers, offers mindful creative workshops. After exploring craft workshops and breath work for her mental health, she discovered their power in healing and self-growth. Inspired to help others, Sada now hosts workshops focused on breath work, mindfulness, and meditation through creative expression.

Jack Dicey-Rutherford
Join blacksmith Jack for hands-on workshops where you’ll forge your own necklace charm, clothes hook, or bookmark. Each session runs 1.5–2 hours and is open to ages 13+. Jack has 12 years of smithing experience, specialising in handmade tools. Currently completing his honours in Archaeology at UCT, he’s fascinated by the relationship between tools, environment, and human development.

After 40 years in corporate service delivery, Reinette Kydd chose to pursue entrepreneurship. Her passion for photography and printing, combined with her design skills, paved the way for her new business, CyanoKydd, inspired by her love for the color blue. She is thrilled to showcase and teach her Cyanotype craft at The Makers Festival!

Tarryn Robinson is a qualified consumer studies teacher, but decided to start her own business during 2023 and has been hosting social lino printing sessions at venues in and around Cape Town since. She focuses on the basics of lino printing and loves to bring people together to create.
